The Dragon and the Prince by Kooskia The Dragon and the Prince by Kooskia
(c) Blizzard (characters)
(c) Kooskia (fancomic)

Here... it appears that Blizzard produced a pair of characters i keep on to like, for the World of Warcraft world (i read the novels, having played the old strategy games and NOT playing WoW).

I can say i HOPE they will not kill Wrathion <.<
But knowing the low-percentage of survival of characters, none can say it for sure...

This small comic is inspired by War Crimes novel, with the two of them playing on sand and talking.

Speaking about Anduin at first i disliked him in the comics, but from the novels he gained points v.v

PLEASE; IF YOU FAVE IT, DON'T RUSH AND RUN, LEAVE A LITTLE COMMENT!!
IT'S NICE TALKING WITH OTHERS ; )

Hehehe, I know you drew this a long while ago, but Wranduin is still my favorite pairing in Warcraft! <3 This is a super sweet drawing, and I do like to think that eventually when Wrathion is a drake Anduin did get to fly on his back ^^

There are clearly some things working in favor for Black Dragons hinted in the new Legion expansion (if you played it) with Ebyssian.
So hopefully we will see Wrathion helping him in future. But for once, again Blizzard made me sad again with the news of Blue Dragons <-<
Come oooon....
Warcraft dragons are honestly one of my favourite in fantasy and they are proceeding with cutting them again!

Well! Hehe (I heartily apologize for the incredibly long and nerdy comment that follows this; if you feel it's too long and lame then I would not be at all offended if you preferred to skip it, haha! XD )

-- as you may know, in the alpha for Legion Ebyssian *was* Wrathion-- that is, instead of Ebyssian, the tauren later transformed into Wrathion and there was a completely different questline with him-- but they ended up changing that utterly.

However I do suspect Wrathion will be back, and there was a hint in that questline they removed, in which Wrathion basically wanted to revive a bunch of uncorrupt black dragon eggs. I strongly suspect Wrathion will end up bringing back not only a revival of an uncorrupt black dragonflight, but of the dragons in general.

I think at the moment Bliz is working on a story where one by one the dragon aspects die off-- first you had Malygos, then Neltharion, and now Ysera-- much like how we are to believe that the titans are dead, so this is to paint a a picture of despair, like it feels that all hope is genuinely lost.

However, back in MoP you might remember the bit at Throne of Thunder where after you brought Wrathion Lei Shen's heart, he ate it and then went into a trance; during that time he spoke about seeing a million worlds, "all glittering in their perfection, but one that shines above all others." Then, he said something like "We must rebuild the final titan." So, I went looking into that, and it turns out that the vision he spoke of is the same as the titans had seen when they first ordered the cosmos. The bit about rebuilding the final titan was something said by Aman'thul, the first titan, possibly when Sargeras destroyed the pantheon.

Now: according to Chronicle, titans are born within worlds, and before they are born they are called world-souls; presumably the world-soul of Azeroth is stronger than that of all the other titans, meaning it is meant to produce the strongest titan. So, the final titan is the one still sleeping within Azeroth. When the pantheon was destroyed, Norgannon saved the soul of Aman'thul, and instead of being destroyed it became absorbed by the titan-watcher Ra. When this happened, Ra realized that he had absorbed something powerful and managed to extract it (ie, the soul shard of Aman'thul), and he buried it at the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Some time later, the mogu Lei-Shen discovered this soul shard, and absorbed it into himself-- he then gained the thunder powers of Aman'thul and became the thunder king; when you later killed the thunder king and brought Wrathion the heart, he went on to devour it and thereby gained the vision seen originally by Aman'thul when the titan Pantheon was destroyed-- this is why he said the strange stuff he said after eating the heart.

So, in conclusion, Wrathion currently contains a shard of Aman'thul's soul, ie, that of the first titan.

Also, Aman'thul was the titan who believed that the world-soul of Azeroth would be the one which is particularly strong; he also believes that the world-soul of Azeroth would be the one capable of defeating the void lords (the void lords were the ones who originally created the old gods). As you may know, Velen once had a vision that at some point in the future Anduin would lead the army of light to usher an era of peace unto Azeroth or something to that effect, and that Anduin's fate is to defeat the void lords; keep in mind that Anduin was also present when Wrathion spoke of the vision after eating Lei-Shen's heart.

So, all that said, I strongly suspect there will be something involving Wrathion and Anduin working together at some point in the future to defeat the void lords, and I also really suspect there will be a revival of the dragonflights-- I really think Wrathion will eventually wind up as the new Black Aspect, either way. Then again, Bliz are also fantastic at utterly destroying and ruining their own lore, so who knows, haha! XD

You know what? Yesterday I just completed the questline in Highmountains and made the dungeon in Neltharion lair before reading your message
AND started the questline with the Blue dragons in Aszuna lol xd

I heard however that the dragon was supposed to be Wrathion at first... but honestly that would have meant a completely different story-lore for the character and it is much much better in this way.
That hint of Wrathion intentions I missed, but it's welcome to know.

I have to say however that I completely missed the Wrathion interactions in MoP because I started playing WoW since this summer and they erased hiw whole questline for... unknown reasons <-<
I remember however reading about the visions, including also many dragons flying in sky (but this could be retcon). There is one thing we should consider in our speculation: that Blizzard primarly aims at $$  and one key feature when you offer a product for $$ it's to offer something of new to the buyer. Something that doesn't sound "already seen before".

I have no idea if they announced something already, but it is clear to me that a next expansion could focus around Jaina playing the villain and Kul Tiras showed for the first time.
It's one of the key element from old Warcraft lore never showed in-game, and it's two expansions we understood Jaina turned into the basic villain-character of the Alliance.
It will be interesting to see Kalecgos moves: I read the book with the "downfall" of Jaina, and while her change is sudden... it is motivated.
Not much motivated it is the interest KalecgosXJaina...
I made a comic about that one xD

I made it during a time when I disliked WoW just for killing dragons Xd

If you already know the games (WoW or previous ones) i suggest you.
But not if you don't know them: novels are a bit "inserted" into an huge plotline that's mostly covered by the events of the games.
And especially on the last novels, they're wrote to fill the time-lapsus or explain certain events between each expansion of the game

So I'll have to buy the games ^^
Or if I can find the history of the game on the internet.
Thanks for the advice:)

Uh... well... i suggest you to be careful still xD
World of Warcraft is a FAMOUS, and huge "MMPORG" (and at payment).
It take long hours and hours of game ^^
Check many videos before venturing on it, on youtube.

Dragons are cool in Warcraft, but they play usually only a moderate/supportive role, when they're good.

Thanks x3 If you follow my fancomics i could suggest you to read a pair of dragons series you've probably saw my arts about them...
One is Temeraire of Naomi Novik (set during Napoleonic Wars but with dragons into x3), it's pretty much cool especially on action/Battle scenes and humor of the characters (i love it xD), only shortcoming it's that there is dragon's point of view, but only starting from book5
Another one is Age of Fire  of E.E.Knight: it's more a "classical" fantasy (with human kingdoms, elves, dwarfs etc...) and dragons, it's cool because follow 100% the dragon's point of view, the only shortcoming it's that the very last book has been clearly wrote in rushed way (without proof editor) and grammar is hard to read in some point for non-english speaker, in addition to minor mistakes and names switched (but the plot ending it's satisfactory, at least on my point of view).

I already read the Age Of Fire series , this is the best for me ^^
I love the dragon's point of view and your're right , the end is a bit fast .With this point of view you can imagine so many things ! The characters are so appealing and they gain more and more humor :)
And I just started reading Temeraire two days ago and it seems very cool! :)
(Sorry for my poor english^^')

Awesome! No problem about english issue x3
I'm italian ^^
Temeraire will be much better book by book, with exception of Tongues of Serpents that is a bit slow as plot (and a bit useless for the whole story).

It's cool you read Age of Fire!!
Few questions for you x3
1) Whose of the AuRon's children you believe didn't survive? (i think only the student one, that went with Anklene dragons).
2) Do you think the Copper survived? (i think yes, and almost all readers should think it, i expect)
3) (big question). What caused the increase of "aether"/magic and the ultimate birth of all the elves?
(i think it has been the desires, purposes, hopes to save all the world,   by the protagonists: good feeling call good feeling and the "aether"/magic is replenished in the world).
3) (big question). Do you think dragons will survive?
I think yes and i've make an hypotesis about it: DharSii is doubtful, but we see/know of dragonelles believed to be unfertile, now being all pregnant with clutches!
(the Copper's mate, and the Sadda-Vale dragonelle, plus Wistala expecting a very big clutch).
I think that this unexpected fertility has been caused by the "aether"/magic itself, because it's said that help races and cultures to became better and grow.
